About Chris Frank, MSN, FNP-C
“Chris has worked in orthopedics and pain management for over a decade. He started in 2013 as a registered nurse with the largest pain management practice in North Carolina. After several years and becoming certified in Pain Management by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), he decided to pursue his nurse practitioner degree. During this time, he worked with patients with substance use disorders and also did graduate research on opioid dependence. After obtaining his nurse practitioner degree and becoming certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) , he returned to orthopedics with particular focus on spinal disorders. Over the last several years, he has specialized in the use of both platelet rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (i.e. stem cells) for the use of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. During his career, he has performed several thousand injections, specializing in ultrasound guided injection techniques.
Chris was born in Delta, Ohio and attended The University of Toledo on a full academic scholarship. After completing his undergraduate degree, he started his nursing career in the intensive care unit (ICU). After moving to North Carolina in 2013 and working for several years, he attended Western Carolina University for his nurse practitioner degree after receiving a full academic grant. Chris strives to provide comprehensive patient care, minimize reliance on medications, and find long term solutions to help patients return to living pain free.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys staying active with things like basketball, mountain biking, and hot yoga. He also enjoys cooking Italian cuisine, reading (particularly science fiction), and playing chess. He is also fluent in Spanish.”
Sincerely,
Chris Frank, MSN, FNP-C
