About Meryl Ortiz, NP

Meryl Ortiz is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in the treatment of orthopedic and spine conditions. She is licensed with the Arizona State Board of Nursing and board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

A native to Tucson Arizona, Meryl completed her Master’s of Science in Nursing at University of Arizona. She worked a combination of trauma ICU and NICU at a level one trauma center for eight years before deciding to return to school. In 2021 she completed her post Master’s degree through Grand Canyon University and began working as a nurse practitioner in pulmonology. She transitioned to acute and chronic pain management in 2022 and now specializes in intervention spine and orthopedics. She is dedicated to improving her patients lives through holistic care and remains passionate about patient advocacy.  

Outside of work, Meryl enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She also enjoys riding mountain bikes, horses, and camping with her family.
