Treatment For Athletic Conditions

When it comes to expert treatment for athletic conditions and injuries, you can turn to the experienced physicians from Ortho Sport & Spine Conditions. We cater to athletes both amateur and professional. By limiting the number of patients we see daily, we are able to offer a better patient experience than many other sports medicine and orthopedic practices. Our lower patient-to-provider ratio enables us to take the time we need to accurately diagnose the source of the problem so we can recommend a customized treatment plan.

During your initial consultation, one of our Interventional Sports physicians will take a thorough family and medical history and conduct a thorough physical examination. We will also use any diagnostic tests that are necessary to accurately diagnose your condition. Once this has been completed, we will recommend an individual treatment plan based on your specific needs and goals.

Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians is dedicated to using the most conservative, non-surgical treatments available to help you recover from your injury or athletic condition. However, in certain cases, surgery may be required to effectively treat the problem. In this case, we will use the most minimally invasive surgical techniques possible. We are proud to be one of the Southeast’s leading providers of endoscopic spine surgery. Using this advanced surgical technique, we are able to offer effective surgical solutions with fewer complications and a shorter recovery time.

At Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians, we cater to athletes. If you are a professional athlete, we will provide special accommodations to ensure that you get the treatment you need in the privacy that you desire.

If you are in need of treatment for an athletic injury or condition, please contact our Atlanta Orthopedic Doctors for Athletes at Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians today to schedule a consultation. For your convenience, we accept most health insurance plans as well as several other forms of payment. We look forward to helping you stay active and live your best life.

Surgery was a success my left knee is fully functional again. Langer and his staff was very helpful through this entire process they assigned me a top physical therapist Cara which was great at helping me to improve now just up to me to continue to condition myself back to the way I was physically before the injury and hopefully I never have to endure any future injuries that lead to surgery. Overall a great help and experience after surgery was completed. Thank You to Langer and his staff.

Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians are excellent in the work they do. They take their time with each patient and make sure you walk away with an understanding of exactly what you're going through. I have been a patient here twice and I could 100% assure you that you will have a great experience. Further the physicians are very knowledgeable and experienced at what they do. Moreover, the entire staff are welcoming and accommodating to your needs. I work in Entertainment, and have appeared several times on television (Google "David Wells and Ricky Johnson). I recommend and trust Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians.

Hitting the Funny Bone Isn’t Funny

There is nothing hilarious about whacking your funny bone. In fact, the funny bone is not a bone. It is called that because of the funny – as in hard to describe – feeling you get when that part of the elbow is hit. What you are actually hitting is the ulnar nerve that runs from your neck to your hand. This nerve innervates muscles in the forearm and hand. The end of the nerve has two branches. The little finger and half the ring finger are innervated by these branches.
