About Cynthia Hunt, PA-C, MSPAS
Ms. Hunt is a Certified Physician Assistant who has 17 years of experience treating general orthopedic conditions, but her specialty involves disorders of the brain and spinal cord. She has worked closely with the Trauma Team at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She is Board-Certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Born in Macon, Georgia and raised in Perry, Georgia, Ms Hunt has worked in the Atlanta area and throughout Middle Georgia.
Ms. Hunt earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University in 1993 followed by her Master of Science Education in 1995. She taught Biology in Savannah for 6 years before pursuing a career in Medicine. She attended South University’s PA program, graduating in 2002. She obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Nebraska in 2004. She is currently an adjunct professor for the Physician Assistant program at Mercy University’s School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the North American Spine Society.
In her spare time, she makes trips to the Colorado Rockies to Snowboard, hike and enjoy local culture. When not headed to Colorado, she enjoys playing with her fur babies, maintaining her yard, and hanging out with her family.
